Thanks for the Best Wishes

Since Friday’s game ended I have received more than 250 positive emails with good wishes; positive vibes; declarations of support; good tidings and real class. We are embraced. I am sure ratings will be through the roof today as it is another do or die game.

I have only received 3 negative emails since Friday from the same group of know-it-alls that write to me on and on and on. One guy is grumpy about lack of giveaways at games. One guy wants us to lose to prove he is a better GM than George. One guy just hates everything about life and us and the team although he is a self-promoted #1 fan and sees his success in other’s failures. Stew away in your grumpiness. The sun is shining right now. You have been overwhelmed with positive signals.

Follow Me on Twitter Now

Some folks have asked so here goes. I am full up on friends on Facebook. I have reached their max allowable number of friends of 5,000. At times, I will blow someone off on my friends list for being too aggressive on my wall or someone will leave the network. This allows me to add a friend from time to time. I do not want to create a Fan page. I am not a celebrity. I think that would NOT be authentic to why I am online and connected to communities that I live within.

So Facebook for me now is pretty static. They should increase the number of allowable friends allowed into my network. I really don’t understand why they won’t allow me to have more friends, ”you gotta have friends”. I also do not regularly use Facebook email. I have enough email at my two primary email accounts. The last thing I need is yet another place to log into and talk to folks. I also think Facebook email is sub optimal in performance.  If you need me and you are a friend, you know my email address. It’s been the same one for the last 17 years. My secondary account is now 9 years old too at Washingtoncaps@aol.com.

About Last Night

Thank you for the positive vibes. I cannot ever remember the building being as Red, as loud and as electric as it was last night. You were the 7th man on the ice last night and the players and coaching staff and I are most appreciative of your support.

We can’t get too excited about last night’s performance. We had dug ourselves into quite a hole. We played desperate hockey as we weren’t ready to go home.

We now need to go to MSG in NYC on Sunday and refocus and get one more win. This will be our biggest challenge of the series.

When All is Said and Done…

…Usually more is said than done.

We don’t have to say too much now. It is win or go home.

We know it. Our fans know it. The media knows it.

The New York Post today blared a headline this morning “Lundvquist Set to Cap-ture Series”. Get it?

We are in a 3-1 hole and not many people are expecting us to climb out of it.

It is put up or shut up.

See you tonight at Verizon. Rock the Red. Be loud and proud. Go Caps!

In Case You Didn’t See ESPN on Alex Ovechkin

Here it is. Check it out.

I just saw it online today. It is well done and a very professionally produced take on Alex. I wish we could have seen a bit more of Alex the teammate and mentor here but sizzle sells on television. I have seen Alex do many little things with fans, teammates and our community that warm the heart.

I want everyone to know that I personally take Alex’s safety and the safety of all of those around here seriously and I have counseled him on his need for speed in his car on our streets. I can assure you that he doesn’t drive at very high speeds and that he knows and respects our laws. And his health and well-being.

Anyway, check this one out and thank you ESPN for all of the hard work here.

Making individuals, bloggers and website owners virtual movie theater operators is a big idea. Using film to drive charitable giving and to enhance self-expression via donation of pixels is working. We have created a brand new giant distribution channel for indie films. It is scaling virally and massively as we planned. Thanks everyone for your support.
