Revolution Money Secures $42 Million in Venture Capital Financing

In the bleakest economic times that I can remember, I am pleased to report that Revolution Money was able to secure $42 million in new venture capital funding to help expand its operations.

The company will use the funds to continue to grow merchant acceptance; to drive online and consumer adoption of our products; and most importantly to continue to innovate and advance our technology platform.

Catch and Release – Good or Bad?

Cinematical, a great blog on films and entertainment, highlights a new film called The Least of These available on SnagFilms to watch for free. Read the story and watch the film here.

This is a powerful film which is debuting here and centers on a controversial “catch and release” program. My father was an immigrant. What do you think about all of this? Let me know.

Mutual Respect MVP to MVP

The Wizards beat the Cavs last night in front of a full house. It was an exciting game and several Washington Capitals players were in the house to show their support for their friends on the Wizards team. It is wonderful to see the mutual support and respect the Wizards and Caps players show one another.

After the game, Alex Ovechkin asked to meet LeBron James. I brokered the meeting and, to be frank, it was fun to see both of these young men get to know one another. They are both passionate, funny and embrace their celebrity. They both are pretty good at what they do too. :-)

It was a fun night. We won the game. LeBron gets a Caps jersey to rock the red and some good memories were created.

Taken for Granted?

Mike Green is having an amazing year, isn’t he? Despite missing 14 games, he has now scored 30 goals and has 70 points. This is bordering on a historic season as he also broke the NHL record for most goals scored in consecutive games for a defenseman. To put 30 goals in perspective for you, that is as many or more goals as scored by Sidney Crosby; Pavel Datsyuk; Jason Spezza; Henry Zetterberg; Vinnie Lecavalier; Mike Richards or Ryan Smyth.

And Nicklas Backstrom ain’t too shabby either. He is now 10th in the NHL in scoring with 82 points.

Oh yeah. Alex Ovechkin now has 54 goals scored. He leads all goal scorers by a dozen goals.

Enough about individual stats. On to the playoffs and being all about team.
