  1. For the regular season the usher who worked in section 114 said that he was the usher for the section that President Obama sat in for the Basketball game that he went to. In our conversation about the event the man said that there were over 2,000 secret service agents and two weeks of advanced notice. Have him come to a regular season game, give him a jersey, and let him have a good time.

It would be awesome if the president would come to a game, since he is the People’s president it shouldn’t matter what state he is from or what teams he favors. He would have a good time no matter what.

  2. There’s a snowball’s chance in hell that Obama shows up for a Caps game. It’s clear he’s a basketball guy and we all know the disdain the fans of that sport have for hockey. Secondly, he’s not a Washington guy and could care less about the local teams. If you really want him to come to a game (although I can’t imagine why it’s so important to you) then pray the Caps make the Finals and play the Black Hawks. He might show up then…to root for Chicago. Afterall, there are a lot more voters in Illinois and, unlike DC, their votes actually count.

  3. If he wants to come, he should come. The arena already opens early during the playoffs, it would be great press for the sport and the team.

  4. Please, not until the 2009-2010 regular season, but then gladly and with open arms. Things are already hectic during the playoffs — the last thing we need is a presidential distraction (and the security detail that goes with it).

  5. I can’t think of a worse idea! this is the same “pres” that refused to take part in the winter classic in his “hometown” .Don’t forget 58 million people did not
    vote for this guy.

  6. I hate to complain Mr. L, but our section 421 used to be a nice group of people to sit with, and it was fun to go to the games. But a plague called “ticket brokers” is ruining our fun. If you look at stubhub for example, there is one vendor selling up to 21 tickets in section 421. If the Caps are “out” of season tickets subscriptions as you mentioned the last time you spoke, can we track down these vendors and give these seats to season ticket holders instead of letting brokers let in rows of pens fans? We notice each week that sections 424 and 425 are also full of solid rows of opposing fans: these seem to be the same seats that revolve from game to game. In game 5, we bought extra tickets from a broker in AZ.. I’d much rather have had that money go to the team rather than that broker.. I am starting to think we’re going to have to move and that is sad since we like our seats..After a stressful school day the last thing I need is to feel like I have to be on guard for flying food and drinks. Oh, and thanks for the security there lately.. they have been a doing a great job. Thanks for your time!

  7. Please lay off the Obama nonsense. It is the FRIGGIN’ PLAYOFFS! Who needs him?
