Shocking – Watch This Film

What were we as a society thinking?

Post Mothers Day, watch this film and cringe at what passed as medical science and expertise. Can you believe something like this happened in our age and time?

This is a stunning film. We are pleased to bring it to you on SnagFilms.com. Watch this film. Be outraged. Be appalled. Be grateful that times have changed!

The John Lennon song within, too, is haunting for this film. Click here to check it out today.

  1. oh yeah, you can see my baby skate for his first time on you tube. just search “autism skates”.

  2. we have come a long way. this refrigerator mom gets up at 6 in the morning every saturday through the winter, and drives her crappy minivan with no heat to an extremely cold building so her 5 year old autistic boy can play hockey. while i certainly feel like a refrigerator mom at those times, i couldn’t do it if not for the extreme love of a mother. and while his vocabulary is very limited, he can really scream “let’s go caps!”

  3. As the father of a child with autism, I am not sure that we have come that far. We still have no services for our kids, insurance companies will not pay for treatment, and there are very few choices when our kids become adults. True we are no longer blaming it on the parents but we have so far to go.

We have taken little steps. My son plays hockey for the Nova Cool Cats and the thrill of hockey is amazing for him and his team mates. He even played on New Year’s Day at the Verizon Center and looks forward to his weekly hockey practice.

I also want to pay tribute to the Caps players. A few weeks ago Chris Clark and Eric Fehr, dropped by and spoke with our special kids as they practiced. It never seeks to amaze me how wonderful Alex Ovechkin and Mike Green are with all the kids- but they are expecially wonderful with our kids with special needs. I really hope you all win the Cup this year – not only because you are the best hockey team, but the players are wonderful human beings who deserve their success.
