Click here to read a good piece from Bloomberg News on our series against the Penguins.
The NBA may have a King James vs. Kobe series on the docket but the NHL has the biggest stars on the biggest stage tonight.
It feels good to type that statement.
Read it and reap.
theodore..this series really showed of how far this team needs to come..the players that want that nice bling -bling to put on there mantel during the season and let down during post season..to play so vanilla during post..and sometimes just plain looking silly out there..varly looked so bad in the end ..because the d was so bad..it was a issue all second half of season..taking stupid penaltys was a issue all the time…home game..game seven ..second round..you would they would have come out on fire..ha ha ha ha ha…..used to be a 98caps fan… I cant take well will try again next year………..
Thanks for everything, Ted (and team). I’ll be counting down the days until rookie camp starts.
Ted,
When are the team owners going to stand up to Bettman, and get the NHL back to where is used to be?
The NHL is starting to look like the scripted joke that the WWF (now WWE) is.
PLEASE BRING SOME RESPECT BACK TO THE GAME!!
For the record, I respect you as a great NHL owner and fan, Ted.
But you’re lucky to have made it this far. The Penguins have 67 more shots in this series, 11 more per game than the Caps. You had no business making it to OT on Monday night. 42 to 24 the shots on goal, despite the fact that the Pens lost the faceoff battle again. If Fleury doesn’t have a bad game for his standards, the series would have been over already. It should have been.
I have a ton of respect for Caps fans who don’t fall for all the gimmicks and name calling of the new so-called Caps “fans” though. Unfortunately they seem to be part of the minority. I think the word PACIFIER sums up these knuckleheads. Instead of cheering on their team, they feel the need to get attention by taunting one of the greatest players of our generation.
And you should do something about these morons. The fans at your building have now thrown debrees on the ice FOR 3 SERIES IN A ROW going back to last year.
Hockey fans should be classier than that.
One of them tried to hurt Jeff Carter with a beer bottle last year. Another one got involved with Tortorella. And then of course, you have the sore losers who threw crap on the ice at the end of Game 5.
Fans in Philadelphia aren’t this stupid. It’s a disgrace, and I feel for the real hockey fans in DC who have been following the Caps through thick and thin.
But as I said, I respect the Caps in general save for some of the fans and one #8, who runs around like a narcissistic 5-year old, taunting other players, pointing at team’s benches, coming up with ridiculous ego maniacal goal celebrations, etc. You think it’s only Don Cherry? Wrong.

Why haven’t you told Alex to grow up and start acting like a man instead of a happy go lucky teenager? This is a professional league. Don Cherry may be a racist anti-European douchebag, but he made some damn good points about AO.
