Shocking – Watch This Film

What were we as a society thinking?

Post Mothers Day, watch this film and cringe at what passed as medical science and expertise. Can you believe something like this happened in our age and time?

This is a stunning film. We are pleased to bring it to you on SnagFilms.com. Watch this film. Be outraged. Be appalled. Be grateful that times have changed!

The John Lennon song within, too, is haunting for this film. Click here to check it out today.

Everyone Deserved a Game 7!

It has been a thrill and an honor to be involved in this playoff series. As I have noted, both teams are evenly matched and both teams have great and passionate fan bases that are deserving of a long and entertaining series. The TV networks; the media; the blogosphere; the sponsors; the city fathers; and the ownership of both teams are blessed to witness this series. As my teenage daughter said to me this morning, “That was epic!” And it was.

Both teams have won 2 games at home and 1 on the road.

Both teams have now won an OT game.

Hershey as Inspiration?

Kudos to the Hershey Bears who were down 3-2 in their series with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Hershey won last night to even the series at 3-3 and force a Game 7.

Game 7 will be played on home ice at Giant Center in Hershey on Tuesday night.

If they can do it, we can too! That is how we need to approach tonight’s game – with confidence and with focus on just the game at hand.

And by the way, both teams here are true warriors having played 4 games in 5 nights. We are truly spoiled in the NHL with our scheduling in comparison.

Wish us well. Send those good vibes our way. We hope to see you all on Wednesday night at Verizon Center. Go Caps! Go Bears!

Thanks for Sending This Along

A member of the blogosphere sent this link to me which I found very instructive. Click here to read this piece from only one year ago.

I am hopeful folks can read it and that some can start to lay off us just a bit. It does reek of some ”what is good for the goose isn’t good for the gander” though, doesn’t it?

I have received some amazing emails. I will just link this article back as a FYI in my responses. Sound fair?

Logrolling

Which one was worse, Wanda Sykes or David Feherty?

Which quote will generate the most outrage in the media?

Is either of them funny?

You decide. What do you think?

Here is Wanda. Wanda once raked several of us at AOL and Time Warner over the coals. Click here for details on David.

And you thought the Caps vs. Penguins series had generated some doozies, huh? Check these out.

Bridges and Boundaries

I found this film to be very relaxing and very moving. It deals with African Americans; people of the Jewish faith; and art. It is short, to the point and of high quality. Do you like the higher quality of the video player that we are using for SnagFilms? Click here to check out this film. It is 22 minutes long and well worth your time.

Make Our Own Luck

That is what we have to do now. It is win or go home time again. We played a fine game last night as did Pittsburgh. The difference in both our team’s play is very small. We can’t whine about the outcome. We must remain positive and focus on the task at hand on Monday night.

I thought both teams played brilliantly last night. It was great playoff hockey and it showcased the best the NHL has to offer.

We have the odds stacked against us now so what else is new? Eighty-five percent of the time, the team that wins Game 5 and then plays Game 6 at home wins the series. We have faced long odds before. We must remain upbeat; play one shift at a time; win out period by period; and we must stay focused for a full 60 minutes. If we do that, we can come home for a Game 7. Pittsburgh is a great team and played very well last night although I thought we deserved better. Our play was of high quality and we played to our capabilities.

Holding Serve

Home cooking works to date.

We won our two games at home. They won their two games at home. Winning at home is what good teams do. And the Penguins are a very good team.

We move to Game 5 tonight at home. We need our hometown fans to provide us with a spark of energy. Both teams will be tight and tired having to play back to back games.

Goodwill – Thank You

I smiled when I read this article. Click here to see for yourself.

I remember this night and I remember meeting with a few fans and gently selling the virtues of a Washington Capitals season ticket purchase. I thank those fans for coming out that night and I thank our community for their love; passion; time; money and support. We have come a long way together. The journey is the reward.
