It was fun to hang out with some good friends and get reacquainted with Bob Edwards, one of the legends of radio broadcasting. Keep these folks in mind if you want to help a charity. I just read the Internews article. I thought when you get a chance you might like reading about PAMOJA FM, a community radio station in the Kibera slums of Nairobi. None of the commercial radio stations in Nairobi cover issues affecting the people of Kibera out of fear to venture into the poor areas of town or just because there is not much advertizing profits to be made by covering their stories. PAMOJA FM has been wonderful for our Children of Kibera Foundation, we did two interviews last year with them to publicize our high school scholarships competition to make it fair for all kids interested.
