A Trillion Dollars Here – A Trillion Dollars There

Pretty soon it adds up to real money.

Just shoot me now please. Watch this video. Three minutes and you will leave with your head hurting!

Does this make you feel comfortable that we know where the money is going?

I am speechless sometimes at the way we treat hard-earned cash and who is responsible. I mean we are only talking about $9 trillion here. Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“I am shocked to find out that no one at the Federal Reserve is keeping track of all of this.” What a quote!

What am I missing? Should we be afraid yet?

  1. As sad as there is nobody paying attention at the Fed, look at that attendance from the Representatives in charge of oversight.

And do you really want to know what the sad part is?

We’re going to trust the same people that created this bailout-a-thon to deliver us health care.

    Be afraid.

    Be very afraid.

  2. A very frightening video clip. As I have said before, I am scared to death for the future of our country. And I sincerely mean that. Appointed officials are usually very good at avoiding answers. She can’t dance on her feet. We need competent and aggressive people overseeing our money. She seems to lack both. Maybe that’s the plan. But why should she be any different then the group that gave the money away with no strings attached. I personally have seen local governments apply for “Grant Money” from the federal, state, and county governments for a specific project and use it on another. No accountability. No clear checks and balances. The public needs to WAKE UP fast.

  3. Ted, a lot of the money talked about in this video hasn’t gone anywhere yet. It’s in the form of guarantees (promises) in case something happens in the future, not transactions (movements of funds) that have already occurred, so there’s nothing to investigate yet. Perhaps the most shocking thing about the video is that the IG couldn’t explain that clearly.

  4. I find it rather irritating that as a professional working in construction in Phoenix — and no we engineers did not make a killing like the developers and some contractors in the boom, just our normal wages — when my industry was gutted and most of my friends laid off or cut back, that no one batted an eye.

OK, but then while we’re still hurting and hurting badly, they take our tax dollars and give them to the banks and UAW-controlled auto industry? That’s just really galling.

I’m forced to work overseas away from my family and the idiots who caused the mess and made a killing off of it get bailed out. Great!

  5. While the DC Metro system has stagnated; individual’s, or “customers” as we are addressed per tyrannic, nebulous, power-thieving, wizard-like entity which is the propaganda production and dissemination of the DC Metro System; it’s true way of being; “Customers” in brief exile from their lives; wandering aimlessly on platforms of metro systems; Fridays and Saturdays? Might as well open a bar; get a disco ball and hire a DC; cause it’s where everybody hangs. And if our local and federal governments wish to pretend Metro is a private business model; why not just go for it; baby; set up kiosks; lease them to private enterprise; ohhh…I better stop; starting to make sense ;-0 When consider a percentage of current/potential operation can honestly go not higher than 8-12% View it much like Atmosphere producing contraption on planet Mars in film “Totall Recall;” a brilliant, beautiful, and powerful marvel created by ancient civilization; the “ON” switch unactivated in forgotten cavern somewhere beneath the surface of the earth. think I’m being harsh?…I’m not. Gotta boggie; get Metro to Artomatic open film screening sesh. 11p-1a :-)
oh and longtime slogan of Metro; “If You See Something Say Something” possibly most brilliant piece of propiganda ever. Means absolutely nothing, but makes perfect sense; seems like someone’s doing sometthing somewhere. THAT executive deserves a 23 million dollar bonus direct from federal funds. Dash to new home in north-eastern Connetticuit (possibly RI) optional; doesn’t make as much sence from DC; Much Love – j
