To Inculcate Virtue in the Young

I like the word “inculcate”. It speaks of virtue and of lessons learned early in life. Click here for information from Dictionary.com on the word “inculcate”.

Inculcating a winning tradition in our team starts early and now often at Hershey and South Carolina.

Here is a story by Dan Daly of the Washington Times. It is a very upbeat and positive story about the Capitals; our young players; our Hershey AHL partnership; and about “inculcating” winning that will hopefully lead to a championship in DC one day. Click here to read this article. One day into the official off season and I already can’t wait for next season to start. Go Caps!

  1. Not yet, offseason begins after free agency. Got awards, draft and then July 1st to still look forward to.

  2. The term inculcate is a good one, and the concept of passing down learning’s from one generation to another is what makes us human. It would be interesting to understand more specifically how you inculcate your success to these players. Seemingly every team owner has had his/her share of success in business, but most of them are unable to translate that success on to the ice/field/pitch, etc.

  3. Thanks for the story and for the word of the day! Hmmm… Can I get Garth Snow to read this? I think I can.
