Something Special is Happening

Woman’s professional basketball deserves our support.

I have been going to the Mystics games and I am loving the quality of the play and the results I am seeing with our team. We are now 4 and 1 and off to our best start ever. We are playing a really top notch style of play. We have lots of depth. We run the floor; shoot well; and we play with heart and hustle. Attendance is up too. It was wonderful to see more than 10,000 fans in the stands last night. Come on out to a game. It is high quality summer entertainment at a very affordable price. Our team will earn your support and admiration and the young woman who play for the Mystics are role models and special folks. You will be proud. Click here to read about last night’s game.

‘It Gets Dark Sometimes”

Yesterday’s news of Steve Jobs was stunning to me. Having a liver transplant is a major piece of medical technology and is a very serious operation.

I had some experience with a friend and an employee named Wendy Marx who ended up having multiple liver transplants. Unfortunately she passed away but her life is celebrated and remembered in a wonderful book written by her brother, Jeffrey Marx. Click here for details.

Jeff is best friends with Olympian Carl Lewis and both of them are to be commended for their work in organ donation and for remembering Wendy Marx, a wonderful person and truly a pioneer in helping to raise awareness about the benefits of organ donation and the creation of a real time database that can match up folks.

My prayers are with Steve Jobs and his family.
