  1. I worked with Joe in the 90′s at Continental Foods. Really nice guy and saddend by his death.

  2. I am just today learning of the passing of a great man. I worked for Joe many years ago and although moved away and didn’t remain in touch, I remember his positive attitude and giving heart. God’s grace was evident in his heart from the moment you met him. I am truly saddened by this loss and pray for Gina and his children.

  3. Several years ago a friend convinced me to train for and enter the Wilkes-Barre triathlon. With what should have been ample lead time, Joe advised me on how I should best prepare. As is my practice, I listened to his advice and followed 50% of it!

The remaining 50% hit me after the swim and bike. The run was the killer! I was well behind Joe in the pack. He stopped and waited. As I rounded a turn 1/2 way thru the run, there he was – waiting. Waiting for what? Waiting for me.

He and I finished the run at my pace which was well South of his. I asked him why he had waited. I don’t think he said anything. He just gave me that “Joe look”. You know it. The honest smile and the eyes that told you “I understand”. That’s what he did. He understood.

Following for Joe, his family and his friends –

“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge; myth is more potent than history; dreams are more powerful than facts; hope always triumphs over experience; laughter is the cure for grief; and love is stronger than death.”
