Congratulations to the Washington Kastles and to Mark Ein. The Kastles are champs and we haven’t had a champ in DC in quite some time. I really enjoy World Team Tennis. It is a fun filled family night of entertainment. The games are fast paced and the athletes are very competitive. Kudos to Mark Ein and his organization. They are the best of the best in World Team Tennis. Click here to read all about the big win.

Hurt Locker
I saw the first really great film about our involvement in Iraq last night called The Hurt Locker. It was real, authentic and gritty. It made no political statements but at its heart showed the insanity of this conflict for us.
I was really moved. The camera work was fantastic. And the acting was spectacular. The story is one you have never seen before. Go see this film.
Cool Photo
Click here to see a cool photo. I am honored to be photographed with Tim Armstrong, CEO of AOL; Steve Case, founder of AOL; Martha Stewart and Warren Buffet. It was great to see so many friends back on the AOL Campus at Friday’s All Hands meeting. Keep the faith.

Ann Arbor – Welcome to the Future
Ann Arbor, Michigan is a great mid-sized city. It is a wonderful community – highly educated, middle class, a bedrock American town. And it now has exactly ZERO daily newspapers published. The last daily paper just shut down and has gone - in a much more focused fashion – to an online format. Read the article here.
Weekend Viewing Pleasure
Here is a great film about the family of brothers that founded Warner Brothers. What a wonderful movie.
You have to watch this one: chutzpah, ingenuity and the immigrant experience. It is an All-American melting pot success story. Click here to watch this wonderful film on SnagFilms.com.
Hockey Folks
I met Mike Knuble and his wife the other day at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. He is a very nice man; a family man; a true veteran presence; and a big strong guy. He looks like a hockey player and he talks like a hockey player. He will be a welcomed addition to our team and our community. We have offered to help his family assimilate well into our community and we are here to serve him and his wife.
Almost all of the players in the NHL are truly great people. They understand the ultimate goal we all share – to win a Stanley Cup. They are all about team; team dynamics; and a healthy respect for their coach and the fan base. These folks are modest, focused, mature and love the game.
Resilient
I am happy and proud of the play of the Washington Mystics. We beat Chicago last night – 75 to 64 - after a tough loss a couple of days ago against Indianapolis.
Our team has heart and we play hard every game. We look and have the confidence now of a top team, a playoff team. I think this team can be well positioned come playoff time. We run the court so well. We have lots of depth. When we play with energy, we can play and compete with every single team in the WNBA.
I encourage you to come see a game. We are the number one fastest growing team in the WNBA and we are the leader in overall attendance for a reason. We play the game the way it should be played. Click here to read a story about last night’s game then come to a game and enjoy affordable good family entertainment. Go Mystics!
Support Local Mom and Pop Shops
Here is a great film about America’s small business community and the battle between Mom and Pop vs. Goliath and big box stores. This film touched me and it makes perfect sense. Support bedrock America. They need our dollars and our patronage. Click here to enjoy the film.
