Wow. What an interesting cover of a great Talking Heads song. What do you think?
Is this genius or is this derivative? Cool or not cool?

Here is an interesting New York Times article on AOL. Click here to read it. It centers on Tim Armstrong’s 100 day strategy reset for the company. I am proud of Tim. He has given the company back to its employees and consumers and partners. He went on a road trip and visited every AOL campus, met with thousands of people and developed a new plan that embraces what worked in the past with his own twist on what the future holds.
I have been invited and have accepted Tim Armstrong’s request to come and speak to AOL employees on Friday at the AOL campus in Dulles, VA. It should be a fun day.
Here is a nice piece on Walter Cronkite, the “Google” of our middle-aged generation.
Today, if something big happened in the world, most people would jump online and go to Google to find out what was up. Back in the day, it wasn’t Google – it was Walter Cronkite on CBS. That is where everyone turned to get must have info. Walter Cronkite was the man and the most trusted person in America.
He also made lots of documentary films. See this article and click the widget within to watch one of his films on SnagFilms.com.
A great man passed away this weekend. His name is Ray Shaw. He was stung by a bee and died from complications related to the sting. My friends and many business associates are stunned by this news.
Ray is well known in media circles. He was a long time senior executive at the Wall Street Journal and then – post retirement - acquired and managed the string of business journals called American City Business Journals. The Washington Business Journal is as an example. He also owned and operated Sporting News which he acquired from Paul Allen at the time Rick Allen(no relation to Paul), our CEO of SnagFilms, ran Sporting News and was chartered with finding a good home for the publication.
It was a fun game and a big win last night for the Washington Mystics. We won by a point over the NY Liberty and continue to play good basketball. Our record remains over 500 and we are in the playoff hunt. Click here to read all about it.
We play an entertaining style of basketball. We have a lot of depth and if you haven’t taken in a game, I recommend you consider it. It is a very affordable family event. The crowds are loud and passionate and our players are role models to young women. It is a fun night. I hope to see you all on Tuesday night as we play our next home game at Verizon Center.
Some of our folks now get to rest and recharge. It has been a very long grind.
We started in September with rookie camp and then training camp. We played exhibition games. We got ready for the season. We prepared for games and for record sales as well.
The season then kicked off in October. We played well; garnered the most points in our history; won another division title; won a playoff series against the NY Rangers in Game 7; and then lost a 7 game series thriller to the Penguins.
