New Georgetown Business School

Monday, August 31st, 2009

I spent some time today at the new Georgetown University Business School building.

Wow — the energy in the building was crackling — undergraduate students mingling with grad students — in a spectacular new building — maybe the best facility I have ever been in for a University setting. (more…)

40 Years of Internet

Monday, August 31st, 2009

Amazing but true — the Internet will celebrate its 40th birthday on September 2nd; read this article enclosed by clicking here.

And amazingly true still — TODAY is the worst day the Internet will ever have. Why? Because tomorrow — more users will be on the Internet- there will be more bloggers on the Internet; there will be more content available tomorrow — and more bandwidth and services and innovation, as well. (more…)

The “Reckoning” Didn’t Take

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

DJ AM was found dead — it appears that he may have taken his own life — via a drug over dose.

Usually when people get this ” mulligan” on life — they dedicate themselves to finding meaning in their remaining time here on Earth — and they work and search to find happiness and to leave more than they take. Ted Kennedy was a very funny man. Warm — twinkle in the eye. A hugger.  And he never missed an opportunity to ask for something — a donation to a charity — an internship request for someone; a recommendation to Georgetown for someone else — and he always dropped you a line — a personal hand written letter as follow up. Where Is The Outrage?

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Cockfights.

Here is a film about this sport — if that is what you want to call it.

Why no outrage over this one?

Check out the film — save the rooster — they need better lobbyists and pr firms working on their behalf; dont they?
