Nice Ink in New York Times for Mystics

Here is a nice article in the New York Times about the Washington Mystics and our turnaround so far this season. We have now won as many games as we did all of last year so we are making good progress. BUT there is a lot of work left to do. Our goal is to qualify for the playoffs and then take it from there. We have a bunch of games left to play and we probably need 8 to 9 more wins to qualify for a playoff berth. Wish us luck.

  1. At mid-season, the fundamentals are in place – now the team can work on fine-tuning (like taking smarter shots and not letting opponents go on 13-nil runs like yesterday right after we’d levelled the score). With a more disciplined approach the Mystics will make the playoffs…

…but mainly, this current season has certainly been a lot more fun to watch than the train-wrecks of the past two seasons. Good to see more people in the stands too…and Crystal Langhorne for Most Improved Player!
