Honeymoon is About Over

Being POTUS is a very tough job. You have to have really thick skin. Check out this poster of our President and the related article. Click here. What do you think of this debate?

I will be at an event in Virginia with our Democratic candidate for Governor and our President on Thursday. I will thank POTUS for keeping the faith and for working hard on our behalf and I will also invite him again to a Washington Mystics game and a Washington Capitals game when our new season starts.

  1. I wouldn’t call undermining our nations capitalistic principals in favor of socialistic ones (govt run healthcare) “working hard on our behalf”. Not only that, but trying to push it through so fast that senators don’t even know what they are voting for is unbelievable. For something that is so large (1/6 of the economy) it is WRECKLESS to try to reform it in a matter of a few months. Take your time and do it right! The cap and trade energy TAX (which is what it really is), as well as ballooning deficit isn’t necessarily helping us out either…we are going in the wrong direction, FAST!

As for Obama at a Caps game, I’ll pass. He doesn’t know the red line from the blue line anyway.

  2. Ted, I cannot figure out why you support this man and his downright, anti-American policies. The MSM allowed his campaign to deliberately deceive an electorate about who he is and what he was really all about. If he’s taking his lumps finally, then people are finally waking up to what some of us already understood clearly before Nov 2008.

Please put “Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto” by Mark Levin on that great reading list of yours – and move it way up close to the top.

  3. It’s all part of being a public figure. If you want to step up on the stage, you have to be prepared to be mocked. Was it right to depict Cheney as the Emperor from Star Wars? If the answer is yes, then it’s fair game to depict Obama as the Joker.

Personally, I’d rather not see Obama at a Caps game. It will just mean headaches and hassles for the fans who attend the game due to heightened security. But for the best chance of him attending, invite him to the Blackhawks game in preseason.

  4. Wasn’t it Harry Truman, a Democrat, who said “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen”. Cartoons that viciously malign have been part of our Republic before its inception. No news here, now move along.

  5. The MSM makes absolutely ZERO complaints when a non-democrat is portrayed in any insulting or demeaning way on any topic. So why is this now receiving any play as something bad from you? Oops, I negelected to read you were on your way to a Democrat event. Never mind.

  6. Oh, it’s hilarious when it’s McCain or Bush or Cheney or Palin…but when it’s Obama? Not so much. I also had to chuckle when after Chris Rock lambasted Bush in his very “timely” last concert release, he openly admitted it was going to be difficult to mock Obama…”cause he’s just too perfect” give me a break!

  7. I don’t see the problem, they did up posters of Bush as the joker last year.

Your high-profile support of this far-left president is going to alienate many Caps fans. Additionally, have you seen Creigh Deeds poll numbers in VA? Not very good. Choose your candidates wisely my friend! GO CAPS!

  8. Ted,

I’m not a fan of all of the mega spending that our President and the Democrat party seems to be in favor of, but, I repsect the man and the office and I find this image very disrespectful. However, I support our first amendment and support the author’s right to make the offensive graphic.

With all that being said, I wish that people and politicians would engage in a much more civil way. It’s OK to attack an idea or a policy, but why attack the person? Disagreement isn’t a bad thing, but being disrspectful is.
