My wife, son and I went to see Julie and Julia this weekend. We really enjoyed it. It was a very well acted film. Meryl Streep is really so accomplished and talented. She really becomes the 6 foot 3 inch Julia Child.

I’m surprised you haven’t mentionned anything about the passing of Mr. John Hughes. He was an actual movie maker, unlike some other people who think they are movie makers, just because they throw money around and enjoy stuffing their face in popcorn while watching movies. John Hughes was an absolute genius, aside from being very modest.

Glad you like it. Going to see it tonight with hubby Bob. I read the book (My Life in France) that Julia Child wrote and on which the film is based. Lots a good recipes even in this autobiography. Now know how to make French style scrambled eggs to die for. Her life was certainly lived fully.
I think getting tickets for this movie might get me out of the doghouse. I missed an important function due to work so my wife is a little miffed (but won’t admit it). Thanks Ted!
