Capitalism the Movie

A love story about democracy and an anger filled tale against capitalism – I can’t wait to see it.

I also can’t wait to hear that the film will be shown for free and that the movie theater doors will be open to everyone. Popcorn – fresh, hot and buttered – will be delivered to us in our seats by ushers that smile and call us comrade and the bathroom toilets will be ringed with gold, where it belongs.

Here is a trailer. This promises to be the big documentary film this coming season. Kudos to Michael Moore for making lots of money by talking about how bad capitalism is. Is this a great country or what? :-)  Michael - offer the film for free to everyone on SnagFilms. We will split all of our revenues with you 50/50. How is that for sharing and caring? No? Is that because you got a $10 million guaranteed up front payment? Do you know how many documentaries can be made with that kind of up front payment? Share the wealth.

And here is a great piece in the Atlantic also called Capitalism the movie. I remembered this great piece of journalism from a few years back. It is fantastic writing and an interesting point of view. Click here to read it and reap.

Empty Nesting

For all of you who are now empty nesters or are preparing to be, watch this film. Now. Today.

This is a magnificent movie. It is well produced with a very important subject that matters to both parents and young adults; how to prepare for Act 2 of parenting; and the phenomenon known as Empty Nest Syndrome.

“The Best Part of Everything” is an important film. The clock is ticking for me and my wife in this regard.

Sad Weird Summer Is Over – A Rant

Summer is over. It was a sad three months. A great friend of mine died of a terrible disease (Joe Casella); a great woman passed away and is terribly missed (Eunice Shriver); and a fun and respected friend died a few weeks later (Senator Ted Kennedy). Twenty-one public figures of note died including Michael Jackson; Walter Cronkite; Farrah Fawcett; Les Paul; John Hughes. Click here to read this round up story. And just this weekend a relative of my wife died unexpectedly at 46 years of age.

What is going on? I am glad the summer is over.

Thank You Caps Fans

We sold 5,000 plus tickets to the first ever Washington Capitals Convention scheduled for Saturday, September 26th, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center. I am psyched. This is a big innovation for us and a new way to connect our fans to our players and franchise. I think it will be a great day. Our entire team will be there as will alumni; team officials; league officials; bloggers; members of the media; and fans from all around the world.

Thanks for your support. I so look forward to seeing you all at the event and look forward to your feedback as we want to make these annual conventions the best in the NHL. Go Caps!
