Caps Win in Another Fun OT Game

We are now 2-0 in preseason play with two OT wins.

We aren’t dressing many of our star players yet. We are letting many of our prospects play to earn the right to play minutes in the NHL this season. Last night’s game against Chicago in Chicago was played in front of a sold out crowd and was a great learning experience for many of our players.

These are “teachable moments” and winning in OT is a wonderful experience for all of our players. It is just preseason so I wouldn’t read anything into these games but we do want to have expectations that we can win in OT games; that we have some destiny working on our behalf; and that we will have good fortune shine on us now.

The preseason is flying by. Camp is fast-paced. The season opener in Boston is right around the corner. Get ready for the puck to drop. Go Caps!

  1. Great win by the Caps and I was glad to be able to watch the game via a feed from CSN Chicago.

    Ted,

Why is it the Caps keep getting shafted by CSN? No preseason coverage?? They are showing the World Poker Tournament instead of the Caps game tonight?? LAME! Meanwhile their other sister stations (like Chicago) are covering their teams during preseason….

On top of that 26 games during the regular season (including some at home) that aren’t in HD? Sorry to sound like a whiner but CSN looks terrible on an HD set with their SD feed…The Caps deserve better.
