Why do people do such stupid things online? My bet is this kid will be tracked down, thrown in jail and made an example of. What was he/she thinking?
This is a more prevalent issue than most probably think.
I must admit I play online games after work sometimes to blow off steam. I was shocked and now more disappointed at seeing a lot of online gaming group names and player images that express a very similar mentality to that facebook page. Some things are grayer than others, but a lot of group names are direct violations in the same way.
I’d go so far as to say exposure to these things could very well have influenced this person to believe – incorrectly – that such expressions on the internet or in any forum are funny, appropriate, or have a mainstream audience.
There are rocket surgeons everywhere. Amazing.
