Won’t it be great to see a healthy and strong Chris Clark back on the ice?

I have faith in Chris. He is our Captain and he may be our biggest off season acquisition. He is tough; gritty; does the dirty work; can skate; has a great shot; bangs and digs in the corners; and goes to the net.

Thanks for this article that made me smile today. Click here to read it and Go Caps!

Thank You About.com

Here is a nice list of top 10 films that inspire that I stumbled upon on About.com. This is a very comprehensive listing of films that you can see now and it includes our film, Nanking. We are honored.

Our film is up for 3 Emmy Awards and I will attend this year’s event with the directors and producers of the film and my family. My son, Zachary, is actually up for an Emmy Award as he was one of the researchers listed on the film. How interesting is that? He could actually win an Emmy Award and he was 16 at the time he concluded the research for us. I am one proud Dad.

Fortune Cookies

As American as apple pie, helping people make their fortunes in the lottery and helping to changes lives and relationships and more.

This is such a great documentary. It about the history of the fortune cookie; who takes credit for its invention; how many are sold each and every year; and how people read their fortunes and how it affects their lives. Amazing.

It is Getting Near That Time of Year

Camp is right around the corner. Players are trickling in, working out and skating together. The coaches are all here. The office is starting to buzz again after a long summer. In fact, I spoke to 200 or so new season ticket holders last night at our offices at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. The air is crisp. The new merchandise for the players has arrived to wear in camp. It is a time of hope and freshness and possibilities. The phones are starting to ring. It is getting loud in our offices.

Today someone asked me if I thought we could be better than we were last season. My response was straightforward. ”Yes. We didn’t meet our goals last year. We have to be better!”

I am proud of what we accomplished last season but I don’t care much anymore. That one is in the books. We will celebrate in a more low key way the SE Division Championship we won for the second time in a row but we are hunting much bigger game now and we hope to improve.

Good Article on the Power of Red

Here is a great article about sports teams that wear Red as their color of choice.

We certainly have seen an up tick in success since we went back to our retro homage look and feel and use Red as our primary color.

Only issue is that the same kind of science of color talks about the inefficiency of wearing Black as a primary color. That notion didn’t seem to hurt the Stanley Cup champs last season and they beat the RED Wings.

Ghost Bikes

Why are there white bikes showing up everywhere?

Performance art?

Memorials to fallen bikers?

A political statement?

All of the above?

Check out this great 5 minute film to find out; well done. Click here on Snagfilms.com. I liked this one a lot — a very beautiful and eerie short film.

Is Google Screwing With Me, Personally?

I am not making this up.

I went to Google today — and a screen popped up that said…” Were sorry — but the computer you are using may be sending automated inquiries; to make sure you are human — type in the term you see below”…

The term was blurry — and I had to concentrate on the type face and there was a small box to enter the term; and guess what the term was to type in?

Belessfed.

Can’t make this stuff up!
