Remarkable Start and Stats

But it only matters if/when we win.Alex is not about personal stats. He is about helping the team win. It is why he is such a beloved teammate. He is focused on our singular goal. Personal accolades will come; stats will be generated; but wins are what are most important.

Right now I would have to believe that the Ovechkin-Backstrom-Semin line may be the best line in the NHL. I think they generated 8 points against Philadelphia and would have had more if we weren’t killing off so many Philly power plays.

What should we call this line? What are your ideas?

  1. I have to admit it…I like the S.O.B line

I know that is exactly what I will be saying when they play the Sens!

  2. How about the OMG line as in “Oh, My God”? That’s usually what the other team’s defensemen are thinking when they see the three of them coming at them or more likely as they fly past them!

  3. Ted,

This is clearly the S.O.B. line. The same words that are said by many a goalie when they are on the ice.

  4. Mr. Leonsis – thanks so much for building such an exciting, entertaining organization. Can’t wait for the game tonight!

How bout – The Tsunami line.

  5. the SOB line cause when you play against them all you can say is “SON OF A B-tch”

  6. The S.O.B. line is what many are calling it and I feel like its appropriate because thats what the other team is like saying after they score again and again on them.

  7. Is the Red Line too simple/generic?

Lots of tie-ins. Rock the Red, Verizon Center on the Metro’s Red Line and they turn on the red light often.

  8. I agree with Capitals Kremlin, call them the S.O.B. line because that’s what the opposing coach is saying after they score: “Can’t anybody stop those S.O.B.’s?”

  9. Of course the S.O.B. Line is a natural. If that is objectionable, given that it is a Russian/Swedish line, you could call it The Great Northern Line or the Baltic Express.

  10. Ted,

As myself and a few of my friends already know this line as the SOB line. Which is rather fitting, as I’m sure many opponents say something similar to this, after they get scored on.
