Ted's Take

Lost Symbol

I finished reading the book. I can’t wait to see the film. It was good fun, easy reading, improbable and silly at times but still a good read.

From my office I can see the Masonic Temple AND the Washington Monument. I am triangulated between both. What does that mean? And I live right near CIA HQ. Is this all a coincidence or part of a bigger plot?

In the beginning was the word and the word was…I can’t tell you. Read the book.

But someone sure went through a lot of trouble to bury one word UNDER the Washington Monument.

I hope this book helps drive additional tourism throughout DC. I will drive by some of the addresses mentioned in the book one Saturday just to check them out and see if they are real.

Dan Brown is a writer that is breathless and the books sell briskly. They read like made-for-TV movies. This one was a fun read but it won’t top The Da Vinci Code for sales or controversy.

And our President just won a Nobel Prize and he has a name that spans generations and sounds Muslim. Does this fulfill the prophecies?

And the Shriners? Rock the Red Fez next! Who knew?

Check out what’s in the top cap on the Washington Monument in reality, Ted. I hope it doesn’t surprise you!
