Here is a good one, a well done and provocative film called Captured.
Take a walk on the wild side - art, neighborhoods, drugs, rock ‘n roll - the real NYC. This is a great film and very well directed.

Wow. This is interesting news. Junior Seau hung out with the Washington Capitals for a day at Kettler and then in Boston at our season opening game. He was working as part of our staff and filming that work behind the scenes as part of his TV show on VERSUS.
He was very professional, hard working and a lot of fun to be around. He just announced that he will rejoin The Patriots this season. What a classy man and an amazing athlete.
I can’t believe that BusinessWeek magazine just sold for $ 2 to $ 3 million in cash. That is what we pay some of our forwards on our hockey team!
BW is one of the most respected publications of our era. It is considered one of the bibles of business. It was one of the first publications I subscribed to as a young college grad.
I knew the long time CEO of McGraw Hill. In fact, he has a home and is a neighbor of mine down in Vero Beach, Florida.
My head is spinning, $2 to $5 million? What does this say about the print magazine business? An Icon like BW sells for what we pay Alex Semin. Wow.
I agree. Thank you. Go Caps! Check this blog out.
Here is a slice of Americana, a documentary about a road trip; an interesting character; a single camera; and a life explored.
Get out on the road and see our country. Enjoy life. There is a lot to see. Take a train, a bus, a car - be restless - and explore. I loved this film. It is 60 minutes of escapism.
I did my best to be straight forward but these kinds of interviews that let me ramble always make me sound random and off point. Read it here and know I do my best.
Last night’s game was better but not quite good enough.
We were up 2-0 and we ended up losing in a shootout. We will take the one point but after six games, we have six points and basically a .500 record. We all believe we can play better and garner more points. I think after six games we have probably left three points on the table. We have to redevelop that closer mentality and we certainly have to play a bit more amped up at home.
We aren’t totally in synch. We already have a few nagging injuries but we do have hope and belief that we can start to play again up to our talents and potential.
Onward. Take the point. Regroup for a very tough game on Thursday against San Jose.
Here is a great widget to check out, grab, share and embed, The Beatles Official Widget using Clearspring Technologies platform. Listen to their music. Check it out. Great stuff!
Young adults don’t know what Columbus Day is anymore. The long weekend is called “Autumn Break”. Less and less is this holiday considered “legitimate”.
Read this Wiki entry on why folks don’t want to celebrate Columbus Day any longer. It is NOT politically correct or sensitive. My friends in the Knights of Columbus aren’t very happy now. Enjoy the Autumn Break parades today.
Thanks for the pixels and the kind words.
This is an important blog, part of a big and important network and a part of Gawker which I read every single day. We are so pleased. Thank you.
I finished reading the book. I can’t wait to see the film. It was good fun, easy reading, improbable and silly at times but still a good read.
From my office I can see the Masonic Temple AND the Washington Monument. I am triangulated between both. What does that mean? And I live right near CIA HQ. Is this all a coincidence or part of a bigger plot?
In the beginning was the word and the word was…I can’t tell you. Read the book.
But someone sure went through a lot of trouble to bury one word UNDER the Washington Monument.
I hope this book helps drive additional tourism throughout DC. I will drive by some of the addresses mentioned in the book one Saturday just to check them out and see if they are real.
Dan Brown is a writer that is breathless and the books sell briskly. They read like made-for-TV movies. This one was a fun read but it won’t top The Da Vinci Code for sales or controversy.
And our President just won a Nobel Prize and he has a name that spans generations and sounds Muslim. Does this fulfill the prophecies?
And the Shriners? Rock the Red Fez next! Who knew?
