Get well soon Alex! We are going to miss you in the lineup, but let's see what the other Alex is made of.

Well said, Ted. Learn from the lessons of Gilbert Arenas' haste to come back from injury. It is better to heal completely, especially with the playing style of Alex O., than to rush back for some meaningless points or statistics. As you stated, this is the time for the rest of the young talents to shine!

Ted,

I agree that the absence of Alex can prove to be an opportunity for his teammates to turn a negative into a positive. Almost every adversity offers us that opportunity. If we can be successful without our best player we should have that much more confidence when Alex returns. And I also agree with you that Alex should not rush back - it's a long season and while I'm no doctor I would have to insist he continue to get treatment through this weekend rather than plan on playing against Florida - just a suggestion. Thanks & GO CAPS!

I too hope that all that time (and more) that is necessary for Ovechkin to heal fully is granted. I know he will want to come back as soon as possible, but it's november, not april.

Ted, I was deep into the what if this, what if that concerning the Ovie's injury and your posting provided perspective. The rest of the team has a chance to show their mettle and this could very well be a blessing in disguise
