A tough schedule is upon us. We will be very short handed; we need to gut it out and play tonight and remain focused on playing tough — smart team oriented hockey.

We are all very proud of the team for its performance and win last night — that was one heck of a “gutty” performance. Losing two first team NHL All-stars — and several important role players and getting two points on the road is a wonderful show of heart and determination.

We will be tested now — we will see how much heart we have — how much leadership we have and how much depth we have in the organization.We are first in our division — second in the east — fourth in the NHL in terms of points garnered and standing; we have also scored the most goals for in the NHL.

Please be supportive of us during this tough time — we are all rallying around each other — and I expect our opponent to come out flying tonight — are we up to this latest challenge?;  Stay tuned — and we need you all to Rock The Red at Verizon Center — show the team you are there for them.
