Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

As country western stars, we are truly living in a global village now. You need to watch this documentary. It is so new world focused. Kids are kids and music is music.Alex Ovechkin is one of the most powerful people in Washington DC and beloved by our community.

Who is to say that the next big country western stars won’t be from Russia? Only on SnagFilms, here is a good one and an offbeat look at the world.

Caps are a Bargain!

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

So here is a very accurate article on the Capitals ticket pricing policy and where we rank. Please read this one.

I am proud to offer our fans a great product at a fair price.

We are sold out.

We spend to the salary cap max.

We offer the best in game entertainment. We try to do every thing on a first class basis.

We are the most transparent and interactive franchise on the planet.

I so want folks to feel comfortable and happy being a Caps fan and customer.

I hope you will agree we are doing our best to have a true partnership with our fans.

The Caps are ranked 21st in the NHL in average ticket prices.

I only link to this article to show our fans that we are doing our best to be fair and reasonable and also to rebut some of the accusations from some fans that we charge too much for our tickets.

I hope you will believe that as the article says the Caps are a bargain at today’s prices. We are growing. We have happy customers. We are getting results in the standings.

As I noted 5 years ago, “Buy now. We are a growth stock. We will be the Google of NHL teams.” :-)

Go Caps!

Firefox is 5 Years Old This week - Thank You AOL

Thank you Mitch Kapor.

Huh?

Yep, let us not rewrite history because I was there as an eyewitness.

Mitch Kapor to me is the person who pioneered the open-source movement and Firefox. He is a longtime friend (since 1981) when I first worked with him at Lotus 123.

Mitch was very convincing to me when we met up at the first D Conference sponsored by The Wall Street Journal in San Diego. He insisted that we at AOL had to liberate the code at Netscape. “Free, free - set it free, Ted!” he implored me. “Help us to do the right thing and see the big picture.” He was and is an evangelist!

There Will Be Blood

Gulp.

This article in Time.com is quite sobering although I saw this coming and it is why we started SnagFilms. These films need a new distribution model and the filmmakers and investors need a way to generate revenues other than ticket sales.

Independent films are a species deserving of being kept alive and thriving. Support your indie filmmaker today. Read this article and let us figure out what we can do to help.
