We have much to be thankful for and our loved ones deserve to know it.
I am an only child. Both my mom and dad have passed on.
My wife, two children, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law and family are my immediate family. My wife’s dad has also passed on.
At times like this and on Thanksgiving Day it is so important to cherish family memories and to take stock in all we have and all we are grateful for in this rough and tumble world we live in.
I am very grateful for the love of my family; the friendships I have; and the love and respect of my partners.
I am for our collective health and well being.
I am grateful to our community for all of their support in all of our efforts together.
I am grateful that the economy seems to be improving albeit slowly. This positive movement should help so many of our neighbors who have been struggling of late.
I am grateful to all of the folks who work with me in my companies and charitable efforts. I hope we are making you proud to come to work every day.
I am grateful for last night’s win at Verizon Center. It was an emotional and important game for us to win. We paid homage to Mr. Pollin, our founder of the Washington Capitals.
The team now gets some time to rest. Our next game is Saturday. We are thankful for having generated 34 points in 25 games and being tied for most points with Pittsburgh for first place in the East. (Yes, I know technically Pittsburgh has won more games than us and are in fact in first place, thank you.) I am still thankful for our success to date.
Take stock today for what you are thankful for: Hug your loved ones and tell them what they mean to you.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanks for being one of the kindest owners in all of sports and for being so avaliable to the fans.
Ted, best to you and your family as you take on the new responsibilities of Washington Sports and Entertainment, the Wizards and Verizon Center. I know you will be a good steward as you have of the Caps and Mystics.
Washington is thankful, I’m sure, that you are the successor for its indoor sports teams. May you bring Mr. Pollin the Cup first, then another NBA title! Go Caps!
Teddy, You have accomplished so much. But more important is your sense of personal responsibility. It ceases to amaze me. It is no wonder you are surrounded by good people. It’s your aura. I watched the Caps game on NHL live, They did some unbelievable penalty kills and VARLAMOV was my hero!!!!!!
