- Jim Kelley from SI.com wrote me a personal and confidential letter. It was very gracious and very honest and direct. I appreciate it and this matter is now behind us and I look forward to seeing him at a Caps game sometime in the future. Thank you Jim.
- Several fans who blasted us and me about Chris Bourque being put on waivers at the season’s kickoff sent me straight forward emails some with a note of apology and I very much appreciate that sentiment. Thank you - very classy. Hershey is so very happy to have Chris back in their lineup and also happy that he wasn’t assigned to the Pens AHL affiliate.
- I have heard you loud and clear and will try not to overreact to some of our harshest critics who tend to be the loudest and most voluminous email buddies to me. I get it. Rise above the noise. Focus on the signal.
- A giggle: At noon yesterday I received an email - actually I received 4 emails - from the same person who was talking about Tampa and how the Caps need to be reconstructed more along the lines of Tampa as a team. The back and forth of the email relationship will remain private. It is a healthy debate. We have beaten Tampa now 12 games in a row. Even with that fact, this fan is very convincing and passionate and smart. We are fortunate to have such dedicated fans.

Positive or negative, I appreciate the fact that you take the time to communicate with the fans. We are very lucky - now I just hope you resist the urge to buy the Wizards - I’m not interested in sharing with that team again.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are the best owner in DC by a mile. You care, you think long term, you put professionals in place set the tone and step back. You know we need a piece or two at the trading deadline and will do what is needed to win the cup. I have faith in you and GMGM as a long time season ticket holder who saw the Caps never add the one piece or two needed during the Poile\Polin\Langway years.
