Dexter concluded its season last night and I had to note that I called the ending about a month ago. I told my wife that the “cycle always repeats. Rita is history. Dexter’s son got a dark passenger.”
I don’t think Trinity killed Rita though. He didn’t gloat about it on the table, did he? Time will tell.
This is such a great series, my favorite on television. I was glued to the set watching this series unfold all season.
My childhood friend, James Manos Jr., created this series for TV. I guess Brooklyn drives imagination in many different ways.
John Lithgow was wonderful. What a creepy and perfect serial killer. My bet is that he will win an Emmy for this set of performances. Watch the series online or buy the DVD set when it is available. Dexter is worthwhile television.
As another aside, we went to see Invictus this weekend as well. I give it 3 stars. It is a worthwhile film with very restrained performances by Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman. You could tell it was a Clint Eastwood film, very efficient and very tight. I wanted more but we enjoyed the film and I would recommend it to my friends.

If Trinity didn’t kill Rita, then who did, and why?
Wow! I thought I was the only one who watched this show. Completely suprised about Rita. Interested to see how Dexter is going to explain why Trinity (or what appears to be Trinity) killed Rita (mother of 2) the way he normally killed the single young woman.
The sad part is we have to wait until next year to find out.
I agree about not thinking it was Trinity, but we seem to be in the minority.
They certainly left the possibility of anyone to be the killer here, and I’m thinking the big cliffhanger after Episode 1 of Season 5 is Dexter realizing Trinity didn’t kill Rita.
Completely clueless of the “Who” and “Why”.
Dexter somehow finds ways to raise the bar, year after year. Jimmy Smits was unbelievable in his role, and Lithgow was even better.
Season 5 can go in any direction.
Mr. Leonsis - My partner William pointed out that Trinity tell Dexter “Its already over.” He thinks this means Dexter’s family. Just another theory.
There really isn’t anything like college Rugby: The intensity, the camaraderie, the game itself, the party afterward… Nothing compares.
I’m not a huge fan of Dexter. I watched the first two seasons and they were totally transparent. The writing is a little clunky. Granted, it’s hard dislike anything with Jennifer Carpenter. Wow.
One reason i dont think it was Trinity is because Rita was not single, nor a mother of 2… Harrison made 3.

Teddy, I have to admit I have never seen the show Dexter. But I should have drank more of that BROOKLYN WATER because it produced so many talented and successful people! And it makes the best pizza in the world. Rock the Red and Lets Go Caps!!!
