A Not So Perfect 10

We have now won ten in a row, a franchise record. We had another sellout.

We have 80 points in the standings. THAT is amazing. We have 27 games left to play. If we play 500 hockey for rest of the season, we would essentially end up where we were last season with about 108 points. I bet we will do better than that and will have the most points in franchise history this season.

This team is playing very good hockey. We are learning how to win.

I don’t have much more to say other than thank you and Go Caps!

  1. @yatesc – Since it’s inception in the 1985-86 season, only six teams which won the president’s trophy went on to win the Stanley Cup.

  2. Great times to be a Caps fan; looking forward to heading up to NYC for Thursday game–will be interesting to see how many other fans are wearing Caps jerseys! Thanks.

  3. How many amazing goaltenders do you guys have? Theo and Varly go down, no problem you bring in Neuvy. Oh, and there is Braden Holtby sitting in backup, only one of the best goalies in the AHL. I keep reading we are week in goal. I bet a lot of teams wish they were this “weak”. How is Brett Leonhardt supposed to make this roster!! :)

  4. Congrats on the win..As a Lightning fan I guess I have to settle for the moral victory – at least Caps fans were denied free wings….
