Crazy Numbers

We have a wonderful relationship with the Hershey Bears. We believe in them as a franchise. We pay homage to them for helping us to be a success in the NHL.

The Bears and the Caps are on quite a run. We as a combined entity have won 18 games in a row and 30 of the last 31 games. The Bears have won 20 of the last 21 games they have played.  They have won 16 in a row at home.

Both teams lead the division in points. Both teams lead their leagues in goals scored. The Bears are the best franchise right now in the entire AHL. Go Bears. Go Caps.

How is that for a plan coming together?

Nostalgia

Thank you for all those long term Caps fans out there and for the new fans too.  Here is a wonderful blog post about the old time Caps and the other great winning streak.

The Washington Capitals have a fantastic collective experience and history.  It was and it is a great franchise with great fans.  All that is missing from our resume is a Stanley Cup.

Old time fans, new fans, and loyal fans - that is all we want right now. Winning streaks are terrific. Garnering points as we are doing is fun but we know where our bread is buttered and what we need to do.

Kick back, read and enjoy this post.

A Not So Perfect 10

We have now won ten in a row, a franchise record. We had another sellout.

We have 80 points in the standings. THAT is amazing. We have 27 games left to play. If we play 500 hockey for rest of the season, we would essentially end up where we were last season with about 108 points. I bet we will do better than that and will have the most points in franchise history this season.

This team is playing very good hockey. We are learning how to win.

I don’t have much more to say other than thank you and Go Caps!
