We are so honored and pleased to help in our small way. Military Night is always a huge success for us at the Washington Capitals. To make men and woman who serve our country smile makes our day’s work worthwhile. Read this article from the Department of Defense. Thanks to you all for all you do to keep us safe and free.

So How Should I Feel About This?
Go to Google…. type in Washington Capitals and what do you see?
A nice batch of editorial listings all on the left hand side. All driving traffic to media sites. Those media sites then turn around and resell that traffic as advertising.
And then 8 paid listings on the right rail. All bid up by third parties, all using our trademark. In fact the bidding gets so high that we at the Washington Capitals CAN’T afford to buy the space.
Google sells the ads and makes money all using our trademark.
So we build the brand, we generate the interest from fans and everyone makes some dollars but us
.Worse thing is many or most people think the ads on the right are generated by us. And they are not.
Is this “doing no evil?” by Google just saying…. this isn’t feeling good to me.
What Killed the Dinosaurs?
Check this one out. I love this kind of work.
Also check out the scientific research and then the Snagfilms film embed on dinosaurs as well.
A Mash Up
Make something fresh out of something stale.
Piracy? Originality? You decide. Or the courts may decide.
Sample this…. watch “Rip! A remix manifesto”. Stay relevant. Get your freak on via Snagfilms.com. Watch it this weekend. And make some noise…
Military Night
We are now 7 and 1 in Military Night games. Military Night is my favorite night during the regular season. We are honored to host the brass but we are more honored to host so many brave men and woman who serve our nation and keep us safe.
We won last night 5 to 4 in a sloppy- goofy but fun game. Here is a bunch of photos of our players during practice wearing their fatigues in uniform.
Our Coach is a gambler. He threw three of our new players into the pool and got their feet wet. Scotty Walker blew up scoring two goals and got the game winner. He smiled like no one’s business. Welcome all to DC.
We have a lot of depth now. We have so much talent, so many weapons, and so much “optionality”. This is the most talent we have ever had on one team heading into the playoffs. It is an exciting time to be a Caps fan.
18 games left to play. 94 points. 255 goals. Up by 14 points for the lead in the East. Up by 28 points for the lead in the division. Wings for everyone. A salute to the Military. Try to be happy.
Hero
He was last night.
He got a big hug from me.
That was brave, that was selfless, and that was what winners do for their team and team mates.
Thank you Nicklas Backstrom.
