There is no known “single theory” because no “single theory” exists in nature. Mankind can no sooner apply order in a chaotic world than it can control nature itself. Nature (to include space and everything seen and unseen) is a chaotic model that has an infinite number of associations among its infinite entities.
Look at the rolling waves of the oceans and seas. Arguments are made that waves in the ocean are sine waves. If you have ever been on an ocean in a turbulent storm then it wold be near impossible to pull out a single sine wave in ANY waves that you see. each wave is comprised of an infinite number of interactions of the winds, currents, temperatures, pressure differences, waves bouncing from shores thousands of miles away, etc.
We can demonstrate in a lab that a single wave is a sine wave. This model only fills a small piece of the wave actions in an ocean. Yes, we understand the properties of a wave. We understand the impact of thermo clines on water currents as well as the Earth’s rotation directly impacting waves and currents. We also have the moon driving our tides and we have a great understanding of reflecting waves from a coastline. We have all of these bits and pieces of knowledge but we are not able to unify them into a single model of the ocean.
We know they impact the waves in different ways but we do not know enough to understand all of the infinite combinations in which they can interact to make a rough or smooth sea. We are intelligent in many diverse areas but we are not able to determine how each of these areas interacts with other areas to provide a global picture.
If you want to know God’s mind, sit on a rock in the quiet woods for an afternoon or a night. You will learn more about God’s mind then that you will in a lifetime of experimenting in a lab.
Why don’t you ask Prof. Bradley?
