I am hopeful that our great fan base that have season tickets will all renew by end of day today.
We have been broadcasting and informing everyone of the deadline.
We are now close to 90 percent renewal sign ups. Thank you. That is an amazing stat.
We have a waiting list for season tickets. If our folks with seats don’t renew we will then move into our waiting list and sell the tickets for playoffs and next season.
I am posting this on my blog because I know what will happen. Some folks won’t renew on time for whatever reason, even after countless touch points with us. We will then sell the tickets to the next in line and then the original fan season ticket holder will get mad and email or call me to complain and demand “their ” seats back.
So I am being sincere. Please do not get upset with us. We have done our best to communicate with all of you about our deadlines. We have worked very hard to generate this great base of interest in our team. Please renew by the deadline and if we do sell your seats for non renewal please don’t get upset with us or with me. Fair is fair. Thank you…Go Caps.
Mr. Leonsis,
I’m not able to find any information about getting on the season ticket waiting list on the Caps website. How can I go about doing that?
Thanks!
Ted,
I have to disagree with one very small point on this post. Seeing as how I am on the waiting list for season tickets for 2010-11, I can’t hope that *all* of your fan base renewed on Friday. I want to get in on the fun!!!
Congrats on doing such a great job, and truly making the hottest ticket in town.
Best,
Joe in Silver Spring
tnanks for the reminder—i passed on the info to a season tix holder—he already done his renewal—but still nice of you to give an extra heads up
First, I want to thank you for being a great owner and putting your faith in GMGM. The entire organization has done an amazing job and its exciting to be a part of it. I share 4 seats in the club level. We were a little sticker shocked this year when one pair went up 56% though. I’m not saying its not worth it, you have put together the hottest ticket in town and the most exciting team in hockey. I know that you have kept ticket prices amongst the lowest in the league over your 10+ years owning the team. But 56% is a lot to swallow all at once. Next time maybe 28% one year, 28% the next?
