This is a Remarkable Example

The Internet can be a powerful tool: A blogger creates a fun site asking our President to come to a Caps game. The White House Press Secretary takes a question on it during a press briefing the very next day. You can’t make this stuff up.

I am sure at some point that our President and his family will come “Barack the Red” at a Caps game.

Our Q scores and popularity is probably a bit higher than his right now in DC if you can believe that. So when he and his family and staff are ready to have some fun the open invitation still stands. Go Caps! Thank you for considering the invite Mr. President.

  1. Mr. President , The Washington Capitals await you at the Verizon Center . Last year during the eastern conference Finals vs the Pittsburg Penguins we were awaiting you, but I know you will be present in the weeks to follow.

  3. Whatever it takes to get a person to a game! Ted, you might think about sending a copy of today’s comeback against in the President’s hometown, eh? Who wouldn’t want to see a team like that? And let’s remember, his adult years in Chicago have been mostly during the hockey doldrums there. Now that the Hawks’ are back…dropping the puck at game 1 of the Cup finals? OK, one step, one game at a time!

  4. I would much rather he came to the game of his own volition, because the Caps are the most exciting team in the NHL and the atmosphere is amazing, not because he was cajoled into it by political pressure generated by an admittedly savvy web campaign.
But if he does come, it better be during the regular season – the team doesn’t need the distraction of the media circus during the playoffs.
