Did You Expect Anything Less?

Even though the game didn’t mean much last night it still was a highly competitive game. A game that both teams wanted to win and both teams played hard with abandon.

I am pleased we won the game. I am pleased we have another first in our franchise history a regular season sweep of the Penguins.

We know it means nothing come playoff time but still I would rather sweep than get swept. Wouldn’t you?

Two more games to go and both are at home. We have too many regular season standing points to count. It doesn’t matter what the numbers say now. We are playing hard and we are playing well. We have scored 310 goals. See the attached standings and info here.

Miles to go before we can sleep. See you all on Friday. Go Caps.

  2. Thanks to you and the Caps for making me (and a lot of other people) very happy. Many of us who attended those poorly attended games at the Cap Center/US Air Arena have waited a long time for this. Our emotional (and for you, financial) investment in this wonderful franchise that’s gone from “lovable losers” (1970′s) to downright Presidential is paying off. This is really fun, and I’m especially pleased that the Caps are finishing the regular season really well. We’re poised for the playoffs. Great leadership! Thanks!

  3. Well…at least you quit saying “we have to remain modest” in every one of your blogs.
