Red Bars Aren’t Fun

Click here. These are the worst red bars I know! Wow!

I had a black colored car. It is now yellow.

My eyes hurt. My ears hurt. My nose hurts. My head hurts. I ache all over.

This area is one of the worst in the country when it comes to pollen count.

People love the cherry blossoms but not me!

Enough with the traffic. Enough with the sniffles. Enough with the goop in the eyes.

We need snow to kill this stuff.

We don’t need rain. Rain will make it worse. We will add mold to the mix. I am more allergic to mold than I am to pollen. Medicate, take lots of fluids, exercise a lot and now I have to take antibiotics to boot.

This season feels worse than usual. Be careful out there.

  1. My son suffers with allergies I am going to suggest acupressure. You should give it some thought too.

  2. yikes…i plan on visiting for a playoff game…maybe i should stay in los angeles!

  3. “Nightly News” did a story last week about how bad the pollen is this spring. I’ll take 20 inches of snow over mold and pollen any day. I’m so tired now, I had so much more energy this winter than I do now.

  4. I can totally sympathise with your allergy problem. I am allergic to everything – mold, every tree in the state of MD, weeds and grasses, dust mites, and my cats. I now have mild asthma and the trees really get me with that. I got allergy shots for years. My advice (my husband calls me Dr. Niki):
1.get an Rx for a nasal spray with a steroid to use daily to prevent sinus congestion and inflamation.
2.Shower and wash your hair before bed, otherwise you are sleeping with all that pollen. The steam will also help your sinuses.
3.get a saline nasal rinse (not spray) and use it at least at the end of the day, more often if needed. You can get a spray also for convenience.
2.For congestion, Ask the pharmacist for the original Sudafed, you don’t need an Rx, but you have to sign for it as they control the quanity they will give you. I like the 12 hour stuff and only take it in the morning or it keeps me awake.
    3. antihistimine and expectorant such as Mucinex for the post nasal drip.Nothing works better than Benadryl, but it will make you sleepy.
4.use Afrin nasal spray for additional sinus congestion, but not more than 3 days in a row or it will actually make the problem worse.
5.If your eyes are watery or itchy you’ll need antihistamine eye drops.
    I hope that helps.

  5. I feel your pain. I grew up in the DC area and have suffered my entire life. Some days it’s debilitating. I can’t breathe or see and have to just stay home. No amount of meds helps on those days.
