Just back from a bad travel experience. We left Montreal after a big win. We couldn’t land in Dulles because of fog. We then turned and ended up in Norfolk Virginia. We landed at 1:10 am. There were no customs officials available. Hence, we ended up getting off the plane at 2:15 am. We took a shuttle bus to an airport Hilton hotel and stayed the night. Got up at 6:15 am and headed back to DC.
And here we are, back at work. Exhausted but happy.
We are reading articles like this one and we will say… we shall take the high road. We won’t respond. We will just try to conduct ourselves with professionalism. We won’t take the bait. We will just try to win and win in front of our great fan base on Friday.
I am hopeful that everyone at the game on Friday will show respect to the Canadian National Anthem. Just because some folks in Montreal wish ill on us and booed our National Anthem at both games at Bell Centre, it doesn’t mean we have to retaliate or take the bait.Rise above it and disregard many main stream print based articles like this one. They are just desperate to sell a couple of more papers and it isn’t working for their circulation, for their team, and for their fan base.
Have fun. Be happy for the next 24 hours. See you all at Verizon Center. We will continue to do the right things the right way. Go Caps.
