But we will allow younger and new players to get more minutes and to show us all what they can do. It pays to have depth in the organization.
Alana Beard will miss this next season due to a severe injury and resultant surgery.
We will miss her.
But I believe the team and organization will rally. Young players will gain more minutes and we will collectively pick up the slack.
What more can we do?
If it doesn’t kill you it makes you stronger. We will be stronger for this but we hope Alana rests up and heals up and comes back stronger than ever.
I honestly am proud to be an investor in SBNation. The blog network that hosts literally hundreds and hundreds of sports related blogs. Jim Bankoff my close friend is CEO of the company and he is making us all proud by creating a high quality and fast growing new media enterprise.
I find the blogs that cover all of the NHL teams to be funny, smart, analytic and insightful.

I think Mike Knuble is beautiful. I think all of his goals are “TOB” things of beauty. Mike certainly plays the game the right way. He is a pro’s pro and he is a leader in the locker room. He is a good man. I respect him and his game.
