Random Ruminations

You have to respect the Montreal Canadiens. They are just a good team period.

We must improve and we know it but the Canadiens impressed me last night and in this series so far against the Penguins, and obviously against us.

At one point half way through the game last night they had taken ONLY 8 shots and were down 1 to 0. Thirty minutes of hockey and 8 shots on goal. They ended up winning the game by a score of 4 to 3 to force a game 7.

They are truly a patient team and a frustrating team to play against. They neutralize and discombobulate teams and stars. It is a very unique style they play and whatever works, works.

What is up with Mike Wise?

Chill. I know you have to be over the top to elicit calls into a radio show, but don’t cross a line and go all mad men on us. See this piece… Huh? I shall take Mike to task gently the next time I speak with him because Mike uses niceness as a competitive weapon.

C-Span

Wow! My one on one interview with Brain Lamb was seen by a bunch of folks. Snagfilms.com had over 1000 people tune in immediately during the interview. I received more than 200 emails and 180 friend requests on Facebook with notes referencing C-Span to date. It shows that folks are watching television and communicating at the same time and we also sold a bunch of books. Thank you so much.

DC Summits

Amazing week of summits here in DC. Check this out. Way to go Bisnow family. Very impressive indeed. Click here to see what I mean.

Third Screen Era in Place Now

Wow… that was fast.

We talked about the era of the third screen for thirty years. Eras where computers, televisions, and phones would all have high quality screens and delivery platforms that were “converged.” We talked and talked and then in the last 5 years– wow total consumer acceptance.

Isn’t it ironic that the three leaders in this space are a start up Blackberry, a web company-Google, and a pc software company-Apple?

Check out the growth of Apple Iphone. I believe they sold more than 8 million last quarter.

And Google’s Android beat them in terms of market share. Google is now number 2 in the space. Amazing progress. Where is Microsoft by the way? Read this article.
