TV by the Numbers

This is so great. TV by the Numbers is now part of the indieWIRE network and a great new partner as we create a robust affiliation of sites that cover all things media related. My good friend Robert Seidman is founder and chief honcho here and the content is really top notch. Also, my good friend Bill Gorman is also co-founder and CEO.  See for yourself right here. Wish us good fortune together.

Proud of My Son

My son received a nice and warm recognition last night at the “Sport for Social Change” Gala. The award was for his work on Street Soccer USA, and his volunteerism around the issue of homelessness in DC and at his University. Sheila Johnson was recognized as well. A great night of friends and family. See an interview with my son here.

Lawrence Cann is a saint. He is the star of our film called “Kicking It.” Watch it here. He created this charitable franchise and it works. It scales and it is worthy of your support. Check it out here.

Kurt and Courtney

No teen spirit here. Just dark truth. Sad… like watching a train wreck.

It seems like forever since Kurt Cobain took his own life.

Nirvana — he talks about happiness within and his career. He talks about his love life, family, child, and his music.

As an aside, I hear that “Hole” and Courtney Love are back on the road and coming to the 930 club this summer.

Watch this powerful film. Very good work here. I recommend it highly on Snagfilms.com.

Russia Beats Canada in the “Worlds”

I am happy for our players who decided to go to the World Championships and keep on playing hockey. We all wish we were still playing in the NHL playoffs, but the World Championships is a top notch tournament and it is helping to keep the players competitive, in shape, and maintain a winning form attitude.

Brooks Laich played for Team Canada and has had a wonderful experience.

Ovechkin, Semin and Varlamov are all playing for Team Russia. They seem very focused on winning the championship and icing a very strong NHL player laden team. Alex Ovechkin is playing very well as is our goaltender. Alex Semin is also being quite productive.

Good for them. They could be on a golf course or at the beach, but they are playing their hearts out for their country. I am happy for them. I hope they enjoy the experience and accomplish their team goals now and then rest up and chill out before coming back to us focused and healthy.
