THIS is why I love the web!
A friend sent me a link to this site and it has every brochure for every old automobile up online.
This is cool and nostalgic. Check it out by clicking here.

Those are pretty good numbers and a winning percentage that if extrapolated over a career would make for a hall of fame coaching career. The best numbers in the Capitals’ franchise history for a coach to start a career.
Mike does a wonderful job of providing perspective and answering blistering emails and rants on message boards. Read this article carefully. Thank you.
If anyone is to blame for our flame out in the first round it is me. Fish stink from the head down, so it is fair to criticize me as you have been doing. But it is not appropriate to ask for us to terminate key and talented people that deserve the opportunity to stay and see this journey through to its completion. I have received emails demanding that we fire George and Bruce, and trade Ovechkin and Backstrom. I feel your pain. I want to listen and internalize criticism, but trust me I won’t react to those emails!
We win as an organization. We lose as a unit. We are in it together and we are a tight knit, in-synch group. We have spent many years rebuilding a culture, a system, and a relationship with our affiliates in Hershey and South Carolina while implementing a system that is successful.
We need to tweak, change, and adapt to win and go deeper in the Stanley Cup playoffs. That is a process. It will be painful, but it is one that I am willing to take on, and one that we as a unit are all dedicated to see through.
We don’t quit, whine, finger point or hide. We aren’t anonymous. We are here for you. Go Caps.
Ali? Or Marciano?
Find out now. Watch this fun film! I liked it very much. So who ya got?
The good old days.
Two of the greatest moments relived right here. NY vs. LA. NBA Finals. Click away. Watch.
I saw both of these games on television as a kid. Jerry West’s shot is the greatest shot in basketball history. And it only counted as a duece.
Willis Reed was the Captain. I had chills and goose bumps as a kid in Brooklyn. Dick Barnett. Walt Frazier. Cazzie Russell. Dollar Bill Bradley. Dave ! What a fundamentally beautiful team.
I enjoyed the editorial package. Check it out.
Wow!!! My head is spinning.
Valley Girl.
The daughter of Tim Draper. Tim was an investor in my company called Redgate Communications. He is a noted VC.
His daughter is now producing and starring in a show that she created called “Valley Girl.”
And Valley Girl gets access to the stars of the Valley. Here is Vinod Khosla the true green giant in the Valley. Watch- Learn- Smile. Spin head.
Here is nice news about our general manager George McPhee. I am proud of George and he is deserving of this league wide award. Click here to read all about it.
We want to win for the benefit of the city and for our fans.We didn’t get it done.
It is hard to talk about. See this article.
But talk we must. If we don’t then we are NOT facing the music, we are dodging the media. We can’t do that, so talk we must. We talk too much. I know that, but if we don’t then we are criticized for hiding from the critics.
It is a weird dynamic. Talk and get criticized or don’t talk and get criticized. We deserve to have people’s critical input, so talk and blog we must.
As I have noted to everyone “win and everything takes care of itself.” I am proud of the folks and players that have spoken to so many people over the last week.
Our heart is in the right place and our fans are our priority.
Onward to improving the team. There isn’t much more we can say, but talk we must til you all say “shut up and get back to work.” I look forward to that day
. Go Caps.
I agree.
Thanks for this article. It brightened my day.
It is interesting though how individual awards and excellence and accomplishment all pale compared to a collective goal. Especially one that is earned as a “team.”
As I note in my book “The Business of Happiness”, being an active participant in multiple communities of interest, getting out of the “I” and into the “we”, and focusing on a higher calling are all keys to self actualization and true contentment.
We are quite fortunate to have a super star player who has great talent, who understand how to be happy, and who is focused on team goals and on a collective happiness.
And one who just loves the game of hockey. Alex has agreed to play in the World Championships for Russia. I know how tired he is after the season, but he loves the game. He respects his team mates and he will be there when it counts.
The ethos of Bill Simmons.
I have to admit, I am a sucker for this guy and his work. I have always have been. He writes wonderful prose. He is smart and I read his entire 700 page book cover to cover.Check out this column and laugh out loud.
He must get paid by the word though!
