Denmark — Saving Lives

Here is a wonderful film about the power of empathy, and how ordinary people can rise to the occasion and be considered heroes.

Watch “The Danish Solution.” A wonderful movie about how Denmark saved refugees during WW II.

This is a great example of “Filmanthropy” and why I am so proud to bring you all these films on Snagfilms.com. Beautiful people with a moving messages of hope and honor. Click here to watch.

  1. I am the son of a Danish immigrant. My grandfather was captured in WWII, and they scuttled the boat. Their first son died at age 2 when he could not be treated because of a curfew. He then spent the rest of a war on an island. Several of his friends managed to avoid interment and waged secret battles on many fronts, including smuggling Jews onto boats to escape.
My wife’s side of the family is Jewish. My children are Jewish.

When I first went to the Holocaust museum and saw the history of Denmark in WWII, I broke down and cried . . .it was moving.
    I was filled with pride.
