Go Mystics Go!

Back to back wins.We are playing tough and sound basketball.

We are winning without our best player – Alana Beard – who is out for the season.

We have a good system; a good coach; a good GM; young players and vet players. And a great fan base.

Come on out and cheer these young woman on. This is a fun night out and you will see a very entertaining brand of WNBA basketball.

Phew…And Update

Ok. I am now cleared out of my email in my personal email folder.

And, I have read and responded to more than 700 emails from Caps and Mystics fans. All tolls — in three days — more than 1,000 emails read and processed. To be frank, most of your emails were very sincere and very nice. Thank you!

Now to my Wizards email. I have received close to 1500 emails to date. I am making my way through them all. Thank you.

I held a conference call with 2,000 Wizards fans on Friday. A great Q&A was held as well.

I am meeting with 500 or so season ticket holders and prospects on Monday night. I am doing what I promised.

You can help. Buy some season tickets or a plan today. Help us to pay it forward!

Thanks for the interest! Talk to you all soon. Go Caps - Go Mystics - Go Wizards!

What a Game – What a Team

Hershey Bears were down 2-0. No problem. Lose both games at home!

Have to play three games on the road. No problem.

Three away games – three wins.

Poised to win another Calder Cup championship. Did you watch this game on Comcast SportsNet? It was wonderful and fun. What a game. What a team!

What a system. What an affiliate and what a partnership! Go Bears!

Relieved

The Washington Mystics players and staff attended and participated in our Monumental Sports and Entertainment All Hands meeting on Thursday and then bolted to the airport to play Chicago last night.

At our meeting we announced that Sheila Johnson had been named Vice Chairman of Monumental as well as President and Governor of the Mystics. We love the Mystics.

The GM of the Mystics told me the young women on the team were quite motivated by the day’s events and I answered, “Good – now go out and get us all a win.”

This morning I received an email. All it said was “Done.”

Well played. Thank you. It was a good win. Way to go. Read about the game here.

Almost Perfect

This article is almost all true and accurate.

Thank you.

It outlines a lot about our new corporate structure and our new partners. Help us to welcome and embrace them all. Please click here. It is a good one.

BUT we can’t reallocate building revenues to the teams.

This notion of the building is profitable and now the teams get revenues is just an off putting and an incorrect fact.

The building was financed via a huge mortgage.

It wasn’t financed by a city or municipality. It is personally owned and financed.

The revenues are used to secure and pay off the mortgage.

The Capitals and the Wizards have the same deals as tenants in the building.

Mike Wise Mellows

He is getting married, congratulations!

He was looking tanned, relaxed, and happy yesterday at our press conference.

He looked like he was ready to go on his honeymoon. He looked like he was in love!

Thanks for the nice words and enjoy the time off too. Go Caps! Go Wizards! Go Mystics! Go “deliverables!” :-)
