Tarik Takes Another Beat

Too Much Ain’t Enough
I have received many emails complaining about the “perceived” lack of choice of beer selections at Verizon Center. I listen then I end up asking questions and doing research. I guess I may even have to do a taste test next.

The 80/20 rule certainly applies as well as most of our fans enjoy a small grouping of these beer selections.
So these are the facts. We currently do offer a very large selection of beer choices at the arena - 52 different brands. I am not a drinker of beer personally but this looks like a good list to me.
So you can complain all you want to me. But on this one I think we are “good to go.” Thank you.

Patience is a Virtue
Thank you to Josh Howard for believing in what we are trying to build together in Washington DC.
He is recovering well from his injury. He wants to be a part of the club and play for our fan base. He is a very gifted and talented player and he is a person who shows loyalty and respect to the fans and our city.
I believe he is very focused on next season and will help us tremendously. The contract is only for one year and it will allow us to get to know one another better. I am a fan of his game and his speed and slashing style of play.
We also signed our first round pick Kevin Seraphin. Many scouts say his style of play reminds them of Nenê. He is big, strong, tough and can run the floor.
We have had a productive off season. We made astute and financially viable moves. We have built a team with youth and vets. The team is bigger, faster and has a more positive attitude. Capitals Acquire D.J. King from St. Louis
Talented and tough and ready to play. A great addition to our team. A big wing. One of the toughest players in the NHL. A player with upside.
To land DJ King we had to trade a young prospect who we liked a lot, and who we chose in the 7th round of the draft. We believe we got great value for this pick and that DJ will add an edge to our team. He is entering his prime. He is a player who will get minutes and he can be nasty when needed.
I am very happy with this addition to our team. We just got bigger and grittier and tougher.
