That is what I call Trevor Booker.
We all saw his stats before the draft. Off the chart! Many of us saw him play tough in a very competitive college division. He stayed four years and graduated from college. That is an important telltale sign to me as well.
Our staff had identified him as a player that would “fit” within our new culture and new team identity. We want fast, tough and mature players; all good in the room; all that have young legs and will run and run and run. Be physical. Have fun and love the game.
John Wall is tough, fast and smart with an over-the-top basketball IQ. Trevor Booker is tough, fast and smart and very dedicated to improving and to the intangibles and the fundamentals.
We believe Mr. Seraphin is like-minded too. The draft is important to us. Trades are important to us. We are rebuilding our team. We are rebuilding our culture and we are unabashed about those facts. Embrace the change. Welcome our new players with open arms. You will enjoy the enthusiasm, talent and the development.
I love basketball and I’ve been a season ticket holder for 20 years. I’m an eternal optimist. However, let’s be honest- a successful season for the Wizards would be 20 wins. Unless Gilbert stays with the team, they may be one tof the worst teams in the league.
I think the future is looking very good for the Wizards! That seems to be the sentiment from all the fans I’ve spoken with so far!
