To land DJ King we had to trade a young prospect who we liked a lot, and who we chose in the 7th round of the draft. We believe we got great value for this pick and that DJ will add an edge to our team. He is entering his prime. He is a player who will get minutes and he can be nasty when needed.
I am very happy with this addition to our team. We just got bigger and grittier and tougher.
Glad to see the front office thought the team needed a bit more grit … now if we can just get a little more grit on the blue line or from our stars already on the blue line!
