Draft – Develop — Retain
That is our strategy. Better the devil you know, than the devil you don’t.
We are glad Jeff is back in the fold.
He led the NHL in plus minus. He is still quite young. He is still developing. He is a good teammate and good in the room.
We were forced to place a free agent signing on waivers. Perhaps there is a team that is interested in Michael Nylander who is on the last year of his deal?
In most of our trade discussions to date, the players who are being offered to us are previous free agent signings from other teams. Such a weird dynamic, isn’t it?
We know we still have work to do, but free agency isn’t a panacea for many teams. We see that every day. Free agency is merely one tool used to improve the team. The issue is that when you make a mistake in free agency, it is usually a big costly one.
Do Something
Watch this one. Get mad and angry and then do something positive!
