Slow Time – Fast, Not Informed Pixel Generation

I find blog posts like this one to be mind-blowing in their naiveté.

If you have never seen a player play - live or on tape – how can you make a judgment on how he will play and develop in the NBA? At best, I bet you have watched a YouTube video of him, am I right?

Why do you think we employ scouts?

Why do you think Kevin Seraphin was rated as the best international prospect by people who have seen him play? Why damn with faint praise when you have never met the player or seen the player play?

My bet is most of the best international players fly under most bloggers’ radar screen. Had you ever heard of Nene before he came stateside?

I would give our scouts the benefit of the doubt. I would give our GM the benefit of the doubt, too, as he has seen Kevin play. Many of our starters are players we have drafted - McGee, Blatche, Wall - to name a few. How can you have formed an opinion when you have never seen the man play? End of rant.

Down The Stretch We Come

We can make the playoffs. We can get knocked out of a playoff spot. We can finish with a high seed or a low seed. To qualify we need to win to keep pace with everyone in the conference.

The WNBA East has quite the playoff race going on. We play four of our last six games at home. Come on out and check out WNBA basketball and help us with a home court advantage. We need it! Thank you.
